They have scored a winner here as long as they keep Doogie as their singer. Tank are the nwobhm followers and as they age their music gets better. This means war is a great release but this one tops it off. The gibe on this Cd is slow and heavy. Their last release was just as great and this follow up is just as great.

My favorite Tank album is Power Of The Hunter so that's where I am when I think of Tank. I was hesitant to pick up any new Tank without Algy on vocals, but War Nation came up on sale in the Amazon.com Heavy Metal March promotion so I had to pick it off on a good deal. I must say War Nation is really very good! I have been jamming the whole thing non-stop for a few days now, I just click restart and give it another go as soon as it finishes. The guitar riffing throughout is sweet and all the songs have an excellent driving beat behind them. There is not one bad song on this release.

I do miss the punk attitude and sound that Algy and the original Tank brought to the table, but if you are a fan of straight up heavy metal this is a really solid release. I would call this an entirely different Tank band because of the complete change in sound, song lengths/structures, and vocals but it really works well and sounds great overall.
