Listenable and insane. That's the sound Dawn of Midi spent years shaping, culminating in their most mesmerizing work yet: Dysnomia. It's the first record that truly reflects the trio's critically acclaimed live show, a test of endurance that involves bassist Aakaash Israni, pianist Amino Belyamani and percussionist Qasim Naqvi performing their compositions note-for-note without ever appearing the least bit predictable. If anything, Dawn of Midi's sets are as red-blooded and rhythmic as a seamlessly mixed DJ set, casting spells on crowds.Be prepared to change the way you listen to music.
This give to us some advantages, like this :
1. Unusual, Driving Music
Heard about this on pitchfork.com, which has a thorough review. This is some very cool music- all acoustic, played by a jazz trio, but more like minimalism. It's got great sounds that you haven't heard before and it's definitely something you can nod your head to. Definitely recommended.
2. Dysnomia
I heard the review on NPR and knew I wanted to buy. It is exactly what I expected from the review that I heard.

Acoustic Trance
A traditional trio (bass drums piano) that sounds like electronic music -
A rhythm will be counter balanced by a slightly off rhythm that creates a feeling of slight tension or awareness. Hard to describe but very cool and very unique.
