Theocracy

The self-titled debut album from Theocracy has been out of print for several years, and fans have constantly asked for a re-issue. In order to improve upon the drum machine and amateur production of the original release without losing the charm of the recordings, Theocracy drummer Shawn Benson recorded drums on all tracks, while nothing else was re-recorded. Matt completely re-mixed the album, with the mastering handled by Mika Jussila.

This give to us some advantages, like this :

I have owned this CD since Christmas. I have listened to the full length of the album at least 10 times. Though I was skeptical at first how good it could be for a first album I have since come to the conclusion that Theocracy is lead by an extremely talented musician and a strong Christian. In short this CD is awesome. And I am positive that if Theocracy can get enough support to take off, it will be a very successful band. If you love epic power metal and you are a strong Christian you will absolutely fall in love with this band. If you just like power metal, I guarantee you will not be disappointed with the purchase of this CD!

2. Simply amazing!
I discovered Theocracy a few months ago, a little before the release of their second album, "Mirror of Souls", which I completely fell in love with... I had mixed thoughts about getting the first album - I had heard it was really different, and I didn't want to break the spell Theocracy had somehow managed to cast on me... What a surprise when I listened to this album! It is indeed really different from the second one, but so AWESOME! This is a must-buy for every fan of MoS, and any power metal fan!
